Zones

Energy Zone presented by Green Convergence
The Energy Zone will feature some large and small solar companies that have a variety of products available for alternative energy use. Architectural firms from the region and companies offering green products for the home will be on hand with displays, demonstrations, and representatives to answer questions about green building and green materials.

Earth Arbor DayCommunity Zone
There are many non-profit and community groups whose mission deals with the environment. Many of those, which have there corporate offices in the region, will participate with a variety of displays, activities, hands-on opportunities, and giveaways for visitors.

Eco Zone presented by Time Warner Cable
Companies that represent a variety of green and environmentally friendly products and services will participate with interactive displays. Clothing, food products, toys, home furnishings, healthy living products, and more will be present. Visit the Eco Footprint tent and measure your demand on the Earth using an on-line carbon footprint test. This test will determine your carbon footprint and provide you with a print out of your results with steps to take to reduce your score.

Alternative Transportation Zone
This area will feature green vehicles on display and eco products for vehicles. You will see hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and the latest models of gas-electric hybrids, electric vehicles, and vehicles that run on ethanol, biodiesel and compressed natural gas.

Children’s Zone presented by Whole Foods Market
A large area for children and families will present a variety of hands-on activities, displays, games, and entertainment. Children will be able collect ladybugs to nourish their garden, plant a potted flower, vote on your favorite piece of recycle art, and join in with recycled craft activities. There will be a rock climber, bungee jumping, and a giant inflatable slide for youth to play on.

Earth Arbor DayWater Conservation Zone presented by Castaic Lake Water Agency
To encourage residents and future generations to conserve water, the Water Conservation Zone will feature a variety of activities, educational displays, and entertainment emphasizing the importance of water conservation and the impact it has on our community and planet.

Tree Zone
This year marks the 21 consecutive years that the City of Santa Clarita has won the distinguished Tree City USA Award. The program recognizes communities that effectively manage their public tree resources and encourages the implementation of community tree management. There will be free trees for patrons to pick up and a recycle tree forest made by local schools and businesses.
