FREE Mulch and Compost Available!

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This program is a partnership with organic waste recyclers to provide FREE compost and mulch to qualified residents within the City of Santa Clarita. The program is a way to give back to the community while meeting regulations required by Senate Bill 1383. The compost and mulch are made from organic material that would otherwise end up in landfills. By participating in this program, you are playing an important role in closing the recycling loop, allowing more room in landfills and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Plus, you’ll enjoy healthier plants and gardens!

City of Santa Clarita residents are eligible to pick up free compost or mulch made from recycled organic materials! This program is available to City residents only while supplies last.

For Loose Mulch and Compost in Bulk:

Stop by Foothill Soils
Location: 24981 Railroad Avenue, Santa Clarita, CA 91321
Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Instructions: Bring photo ID with proof of qualifying address; must have a truck, trailer or containers to place the material in.

Delivery available with a fee.

 

For Bagged Compost:

Residents can place up to 2 orders for 8 Compost Bags each using the provided coupon code. 

  • Each coupon is valid for 2 uses, equaling a maximum of 16 Bags of Compost, per residence, per year with Agromin. 
  • Please note- a residence is per physical address, and not the number of occupants within the residence. 
  • Valid October 5, 2026 through May 31, 2027, or while supplies last.  
  • Compost Bags can be picked up at Aqua-Flo Santa Clarita

  • Delivery is not available for this program 

How to place an order. 

  • Step 2: Using the “Purchase Bags for Pick Up” option, choose Aqua-Flo Santa Clarita as your pickup location. 
  • Step 3: Choose a product usage that fits best 
  • Step 4: Enter the quantity of bags (maximum of 8 bags per order), and head to your cart for checkout. 
  • Step 5: Create an account, or log in if you already have one. (this is required for coupon use) 
  • Step 6: Enter “billing” info and select pickup. 
  • Step 7: At final checkout, enter the coupon code CITYOSCCOMB26 for Compost 100 Bags 
  • Step 8: Bring proof of address within the City of Santa Clarita area (I.D. or utility bill) and your confirmation email to Aqua-Flo Santa Clarita

  • Orders placed outside of business hours will be confirmed by our sales team upon opening of the next business day.
